ABOUT THE JOB:
An Instructional Designer is responsible for creating compelling learning activities and course content, working with subject matter experts to identify training needs, applying instructional design theories and methods, and utilizing multimedia tools to enhance the learning process. They also conduct instructional research, develop assessment instruments, and maintain project documentation for effective course development.
WHAT WILL YOU DO:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to develop engaging and effective instructional materials.
- Design and develop e-learning modules, using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Captivate, and Adobe Illustrator.
- Manage project timelines and coordinate with the Product, Client Success and Implementation teams to ensure timely delivery of all course materials.
- Apply appropriate instructional design models, such as ADDIE, to design content.
- Create interactive storyboards, simulations, and multimedia elements that enhance the learning experience.
- Utilize learning management systems (LMS) to manage course content, track learner progress, and analyze learning outcomes.
- Revise and update instructional materials based on feedback, performance metrics, and evolving project goals.
- Ensure that all instructional content is aligned with learning objectives, design principles, and best practices for online learning.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- At least 7 years proven working experience in instructional design and with instructional technology.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to meet project objectives.
- Solid knowledge of course development software and at least one Learning Management System.
- Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator) and ability to storyboard.
- Strong understanding of learning theories, instructional design models (such as ADDIE), and design principles.
- Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio scripts/video scripts.
